Effective Tools for Executives

Everyone knows the saying “when it’s better for them, it’s better for us”, and no doubt that Is always true, but what if they also had a really great time and within all the fun they also received practical management tools? Of course, then everyone profits exponentially. At Drumming Experience we’ve developed several unique lectures for managers that will provide them and you(by proxy) joy, a meaningful experience, practical tools, and much more.

Diverse Lectures for Diverse Executives

The character of each and every company is different and constantly changing, as long as it stays dynamic and develops. The same goes for managers at different management levels in companies. Our lectures provide tools that are received through a different experience in each lecture. It is clear to us that managers today need many tools and especially creative ones in order to bring out the best of themselves-for themselves, their employees, and their own managers at the company. Our lectures will make your managers maximize their availability, optimize their skills and develop new capabilities.

Let’s talk about it – the Manager as a Drummer in the Corporate World

Drummers and managers in the modern corporate or nonprofit world use many tools that make them better and more professional. We will go over these tools during the lecture. If you want to gain a sneak peek at a few of the tools we will get to know during the lectures, here are a few of them:

Improvisation skills
A good, professional, and efficient manager is a manager with impressive improvisation skills. It’s a skill that is hard to optimize unless we actively challenge managers to use it. We don’t know organizations that routinely do so. So we can play it with an instrument and talk about it in our lecture. We believe that the ability of a manager to improvise means he can find a quick solution, inside frameworks and outside the box, like improvisation in music.

Dynamics
Dynamics is almost everything. The ability to create positive dynamics with people, whether customers, employees, or colleagues, means creating harmonic communication with the right flow, and without losing your tone on the way. Any company wants its managers to master creating positive dynamics.

Listening skills
If you have a manager who knows to create a positive dynamic, it means they can listen. In drumming, different brushes and sticks will give different sounds and it is important to listen and know when to use each one. In addition, by listening you can discover what the rhythm is and when it is best to change it if needed. Listening covers more that what was said or heard. Proper listening gives space for breaks, silences, and time to reach the necessary conclusions.

Management/Conducting
Like a drummer who gives the beat, the conductor merges the instruments in precise timings, ad so does the manager. He has to have the ability to use the capabilities and strengths of each person or instrument, in order to reach the best results for the company and a greater sense of satisfaction for themselves.

Creating a community
There are no words to describe the importance of creating a community. Whether we are referring to a community of clients or employees. The ability to produce and uphold relationships in one tone where there is space for each individual rhythm makes it possible to form a strong community that can run entire systems. We are talking not only about the ability of the manager to create connections on their own, for their own benefit but also his ability to create a community. A manager that understands the meaning of music in general and drumming in particular, knows exactly how to build a community.

When the Notes Come Together to a Melody

The lectures we developed at Drumming Experience are based on years of professional drumming experience, leading groups, and management experience. These abilities join together during the different lectures into a single whole that shows each manager their ability to develop.  When each note is played on its own, you don’t hear a melody. When all the notes come together into one magnificent piece, all that is left is to give your managers the right tools to set the rhythm.

Shai Pasternak - lecturer

The lecture is delivered by Shai Pasternak, one of the most senior instructors in Israel, author of the successful book series “Learning Drums”, which has sold thousands of copies so far. A graduate of the “Rimon” school with an academic education from Berklee University in Boston, Shai is also a qualified personal trainer Bar-Ilan University.
As an instructor with over twenty years of experience, Shai has conducted thousands of classes and workshops and through this has developed the ability to connect people and sweep them into the world of drums and music. Shai played with many artists and served as a musical producer in various productions. He is now concentrating on writing original music for his first album.
Shai is the owner and founder of the “Shai Pasternak” drum school, which has been active since 2005 and brings together the senior teachers, and hundreds of students in the two branches in Tel Aviv.
